Setting up a Microphone to Your Computer to Record

With all the YouTube's that you're seeing now people has got to where they want to use their computer as a recorder also. how to connect sm58 to computer, this is a shure mic that has a full-size plug that you want to convert it down to a plug that will plug into your computer. It takes two different converters that you can get at some electronic stores that will convert your full-size plug down to the size you need for your computer. They make one where some stores has already cut them down to fit in computer. They say this is not good because it will cut quality of the sound when you record but then again much difference can it make. Either way you have to get the plug sized down to the size of your laptop or PC so that the microphone will plug into it and that usually takes to converters from 1/4 to 1/8 inch size. In my opinion any decent mic will work and you can buy one of them at your local retailer and save hassle trying to be professional.
